King Kenny Leads at the Peoria TT (1975)

An epic shot of “King Kenny” Roberts on the gas and sideways out of a corner at the 1975 Peoria TT in qualifying Heat race number one. KR is leading a group that includes Mert Lawwill (No. 7), Mark Williams (No. 70), John Gennai (outside of Williams), Gene Romero (No. 3) and Ricky Graves (No. 95). Roberts won the Heat, the fastest of the day, earning him the pole for the national. Unfortunately for Roberts he was running second in the main event when the chain broke on his Yamaha late in the race. Sonny Burres won.
