John Dowd Gets Love from Fans at Binghamton (1997)

Fans mobbed the always popular John Dowd as soon as he exited the track after going 1-1 to win the Binghamton AMA 250cc Motocross National at Broome-Tioga Sports Center in 1997. One particularly enthusiastic fan grabbed Dowdy’s arm and yelled his approval. Dowd and Yamaha’s Keith McCarty have a laugh at the fan’s celebratory scream, while the girl on the right has a bit of a cringe at the piercing noise. (Kinney Jones photo)
