Chandler and Poovey Discuss the Honda RS750 (1983)

Just love this photo that came off the scanner today – it’s motocross racer Danny “Magoo” Chandler talking with flat tracker Terry Poovey in the pits at Ascot Park in May of 1983. Chandler was there to check out the brand-new Honda RS750 flat track machine, which was making its debut that season. When asked by a reporter about what he thought of the new RS750, he quipped, “It needs more suspension travel.” Poovey raced the RS that night, but did not make the main event. (David Edwards photo)
