Shayna Texter Scores Her First AFT Pro Singles Win (2011)

Shayna Texter is very happy after scoring her first career AFT Pro Singles victory at the Knoxville (Iowa) Half-Mile in September of 2011. She battled Briar Bauman nearly the entire way and edged him out by a narrow margin at the finish line. Michael Toon took third. With this victory Shayna became the first female rider to win an AFT Pro Singles main event. “This is something I’ve always wanted to accomplish after seeing Elena Myers do it on the road racing side,” Texter said. “It’s been a dream, and I can’t even explain… it’s the happiest moment of my life.” 📷Larry Lawrence
