Hurley Wilvert (No. 51) leads Duane McDaniels (No. 27) and Marty Lunde (No. 66) going into the first turn in the 1972 Daytona 200. Hurley and Marty were both on Kawasakis, which were still far from reliable at this point and both guys were out by mid-race. Duane cracked the top-10 with a solid ninth-place finish on his Yamaha.
