McFarlane Madness

Check out this gem. It’s a 2006 Yamaha press kit photo of Yamaha of Troy rider Andrew McFarlane. This is one awesome motocross photo. I don’t know who the shooter was, but kudos goes out to them for capturing this incredible moment. If you’ve never had the chance to watch a motocross photo shoot I can tell you that what these pro motocross riders can do on a motorcycle is simply incredible – stuff you’d never see in a race weekend. Some of these riders, McFarlane obviously being one of them, can make motocross bikes seemingly defy the laws of physics. Here McFarlane, another of the endless stream of Australian racing aces, flicks his factory Yamaha YZ250F into a turn so hard his handlebar nearly touches the ground. Check out the dirt flying from the tires digging in and straining to hold. The thing that really gets me in this photo is how comfortable McFarlane looks with his bike almost completely on its side. He almost looks as if he’s sitting in an easy chair.
