Remember the good old days when AMA road racing was so big that it attracted riders from all over the world due to its competitiveness and pay scale? Ben Attard was one of those from foreign shores who found a home racing in America. The late ‘90s and early 2000s will probably be looked back on as a Golden Age in American motorcycle racing because of riders like Attard who sought fame and fortune in the AMA series. Attard went back to his native Australia to race after things began to dry up here. Unfortunately for Ben the economy is tough down under as well and lost his Kawasaki ride a few months ago due to cutbacks after finishing third in the Australian Supersport Championship.
