Kawasaki Superbike mounted Eddie Lawson (21) gets the jump on a horde of two-stroke AMA Formula One race bikes at the start of a Heat race at Pocono in 1980. In the main Lawson put the Superbike on the podium, finishing third to the Yamaha TZ750s of winner Dale Singleton and runner up Rich Schlachter.
