Japanese off-road racing legend Toshi Nishiyama racing in the 1990 ISDE. Toshi is credited as being the first Japanese rider to compete in both the ISDE and the Scottish Six Days Trial. Toshi’s first ISDE (then called ISDT) came in 1971. Kit Palmer was fortunate to catch Toshi in action when he did, since this was his final appearance in the ISDE. (Kit Palmer photo)
