Jon Cornwell racing in the Daytona round of the AMA 250 Grand Series in March of 1995. The versatile Canadian had a good weekend going – he finished second to Rich Oliver in his Heat race and then in the main event was running 3rd behind Oliver and Takahito Mori in the early going. But then things turned sour. “We were running third and then the bike (a 1992 model TZ250 with updates) began to go slower and slower,” Cornwell said. “I decided to park it rather than cause any more damage to the engine.” “Corndog” had a busy Bike Week that year, going back to his roots and racing in the Daytona Short Track.
