Ricky Carmichael Makes History at Daytona Supercross (2002)

Daytona Supercross podium from 2002 with (l to r) Ezra Lusk (3rd), winner Ricky Carmichael and runner up Tim Ferry. It was RC’s third victory at Daytona in a row and it moved him into the lead of the AMA/EA Sports Supercross Series point standings. Carmichael became the third rider in the history of the Daytona Supercross to win it three straight times. The win moved him into a tie with Jeff Ward for fourth on the all-time Supercross wins list with 20. It was Honda’s first win at Daytona since 1996. (Steve Bruhn photo)
