Jimmy Filice Tops the Podium at Moroso Motorsports Park (1982)

AMA Formula Two (250GP) season final at Moroso Motorsports Park in October of 1982 here with the podium finishers. Jimmy Filice (center) took the victory over runner up Fred Merkel (right) and Alan Labrosse (left) who scored third. Sam McDonald won the championship that season and already had it clinched so he raced Superbike that weekend. Merkel barely edged Filice for second in the final standings. (Gary Van Voorhis photo)
