Rad Greaves Leading at Daytona (1999)

The opening lap of the Expert Heavyweight Superbike race during the Championship Cup Series event at Daytona International Speedway in February of 1999. Leading the way at this point of the race is Michigan’s Rad Greaves (170) followed by Gabriel Henning (129), Per Hogdahl (5) and Jimmy Shelton (7). On the far left of the photo you can just see Larry Pegram, who was on a Ferracci Ducati. Pegram made his way to the front and won the race over Greaves and Steve Moriarty. (Henny Ray Abrams photo)
