Leisk and Ward at Mickey Thompson Off-Road Grand Prix (1986)

Jeff Leisk (203) battles with Jeff Ward (1) during a heat race at a Mickey Thompson Off-Road Grand Prix at the Rose Bowl in May of 1986. These MTGP stadium tracks were unique for motorcycle racing, wide open and more akin to an AMA Grand National TT track than a Supercross track, the money the series offered drew some of the top names in the sport like Leisk and Ward, even though it was not an AMA-sanction national championship.
