Suzuki’s Steve Hatch wheelies his bike through a water crossing at the 1996 Alligator Enduro, where he claimed his second career ‘Gator’ victory. Overcoming mechanical challenges and muddy terrain, the New Yorker dropped just 15 points in a dominant ride, proving his mastery of Florida’s toughest enduro. Teaming up with fellow Suzuki rider Guy Cooper, Hatch battled through mud holes and a clutch failure—quickly repaired by his pit crew—to secure the win. ‘It was a blast,’ Hatch said after the race, laughing about owing Cooper $20 for an early rescue out of a mudhole.
