Dieter Braun, the two-time World Champ from Germany who won 14 Grands Prix over his nine-year career in the world championships. Braun won the 125cc Grand Prix World championship in 1970 racing a Suzuki, and then scored the 250cc world title aboard a Yamaha in ’73 when he was 30 years old. A tack sharp capture of Braun by the great GP photographer Jan Burgers. Once at the East German GP, the West German national anthem was playing for Braun on the podium, and East German fans began singing it. Eastern Bloc officials were not pleased.
