Another in the John Jacobson Photo Collection Series, this is the start of the Loudon Novice National (or possibly a heat race) in 1965. I don’t have the entry list for the race, but thanks to a Daytona program I think I can ID at least some of the riders. If you happen to know more, please comment below. Pete Preble (No. 52) out of Salem, Mass., is on the front row, as is Byron Olinger (No. 50) from Colonial Heights, Virginia. Others I was able to ID in the photo are Donald Griffith (No. 12) from Chattanooga, Tenn., Thomas Houston (No. 142) from Chicago, and Lafayette Jenne, from Lakeland, Fla.
