The Origin of Steve McLaughlin’s “Oh My My”

Funny story – I was listening to a Beatles playlist the other day when Ringo Starr’s song “Oh My My” came on. I suddenly put two and two together. That song was a hit in 1974 and shortly afterwards Superbike ace Steve McLaughlin had the phrase painted on the back of his racing helmet. I messaged Steve if the Ringo song was the inspiration for the helmet catchphrase and he said it was! Now we know the rest of the story. (Ken Magri photo)
