Gina Bovaird racing in the Jamaican International Road Race in 1979. To my knowledge Gina was the first female racer to qualify for the Daytona 200 and in 1982 she became the first, and I believe to date, the only woman to race in a MotoGP (500cc Grand Prix) World Championship round.
