Kevin Brunson (No. 75) leads Nobuhiro Nakamura (No. 26), David Reed (No. 39), Bobby Behel (No. 88) and Mark Bougas (No. 16) down into the Moraine Sweep during the AMA Novice National race at Road America in 1980. Reed ended up being the top dog out of this group. He moved up by the end of the race to take second (behind Thad Wolff). Nakamura rounded out the podium finishers. Brunson and Bougas finished 4th and 5th respectively. Behel had a podium in hand when he pitched his bike on the final turn on the last lap. Behel uttered one of the all-time great racing quotes afterward “What can I say?
