Hot off the scanner this great shot I call the “Battle of the Riches!” It shows Rich Arnaiz #27, who later became a leading AMA Superbike racer, and Rich King #80, who over the years would become one of the all-time top journeymen riders in the AMA Grand National Championship. In 1986 the two Riches came together on the track during qualifying for the Ascot TT. Soon Arnaiz would shift his focus to road racing, so this coming together of a couple of the best Riches in racing was a rare circumstance. 📷Mitch Friedman
