Paul Carpenter in 2000, the year he raced for factory Husqvarna. It would be fair to say Husky at that time were not what they would later become, and Paul generally had a tough time on the bike. He only scored one top-10 finish on the bike in 2000 and that was in the AMA 125 East Region Supercross at Joliet, Illinois, where he earned an eighth. Paul was from Upstate New York, and he went with me on a media tour for Unadilla one year and did a great job on the TV stations we visited before the event. What I remember from spending that day with him going from station to station were the massive calluses he had on his hands. He’s been practicing like a mad man for the race and had maybe overdone it a bit. 📷Mitch Friedman #paulcarpenter#amasupercross#supercross#husqvarna#dkny#dunlop#fastbyferracci
