Danny Chandler has abandoned his goggles after a crash, but he fights on at the 1982 500cc USGP at Carlsbad. It was a good thing too, because “Magoo” absolutely dominated the first moto, winning by a country mile, and then came back to crash twice in the second moto when this shot was taken, yet he finished high enough in fifth to win the overall, after total time for each moto was tallied.
