Dan Ingram – Indiana’s Best Flat Tracker

I talked before about how Donn Maeda was great about capturing personality images at the races. Here’s another prime example. A shot of Dan Ingram taken in 1993. Ingram was in the prime of his career at this point. He later suffered a bad crash and it looked like he was done with pro racing forever. But then to everyone’s surprise Ingram came back years later and made another solid run at the nationals, much to the delight of old school fans. To my knowledge Ingram was the most successful flat track racer ever from the state of Indiana. If anyone can think of anyone Hoosier who had better flat track career, let us know.
