Dale Quarterley raced Formula USA on and off going back to when the series launched in the late-1980s. In July of 1994 he finally scored a victory in the series when he won the round at Indianapolis Raceway Park on his Team Mirage Kawasaki ZX-7. Quarterley finished second in both legs to score the overall victory over David Sadowski, who went 5-1 in the two races on the LaBelle Honda CBR900 and Chuck Graves who scored 4-3 on the Valvoline Suzuki GSXR.
