Linnley Clarke hands off the Gold Hill Racing Yamaha to Christian Gardner (sitting on the bike) during the AMA/CCS EBC Brakes Endurance Challenge at Road America in June of 1992. Gold Hill was leading the three-hour race when in the final hour, the bike sputtered out of gas on the front straight with Gardner on board.  While the fuel mishap cost them the victory, Gold Hill still managed to finish second overall in the race to Team America.
