Irishman Des Conboy flicks his Yamaha R1 through the first set of turns at New Hampshire International Speedway at the start of the Unlimited Superbike race during the AMA Road Race Grand Championships in September of 1999. Conboy dominated the race, winning by 18 seconds in the 12-lap final over Andrew Dunlap and Timothy Bemisderfer, who had a good battle over second. In addition to his AMA Grand Championship victory, Conboy also won the season long Loudon Road Racing Series (LRRS) class title. Following Conboy at the start of the race is Michael Martire (No. 37), John Scheehser (No. 12), Bob Blanchette (No. 251) and Rick Maron (No. 49). Also visible in the group is Bemisderfer (No. 511), Brandon Bashore (No. 78) and Robert Kessell (No. 70).
