Some teams have already gridded their bikes before the start of a WERA National Endurance race at Rockingham in April of 1986. It looks like longtime WERA race director Ed Bargy is conducting the meeting. This shot from the end of the pits gives you a good illustration of the height of the banking the riders had to negotiate. Eatherly Racing’s Dan Chivington and Dave Schlosser (bike No. 59 Suzuki GSXR1100 being worked on in the center of the photo) won the race that day over the Human Race Team’s Robbie Braunschiedel and Kurt Hall on a Yamaha FZ600 and third-place Team Rocky with Greg Tysor and Ron Ewerth on a Yamaha FJ600.
