Michael Barnes showed up at Elkhart Lake on this gorgeous MV Agusta F3 675. The bike is such a thing of beauty; you just hope Barney doesn’t put a scratch on it. For the first time out he ran fairly strong. He was 14th in Friday’s Daytona Sportbike qualifying, just behind Kyle Wyman and just in front of Joe Roberts. It’s got a sweet growl too. Nice to see an MV back in AMA racing. They’ve been pretty few and far between. In 2008 Luca Scassa and Matt Lynn raced MVs in AMA Superbike and before that I think you have to go all the way back to 1976 when an MV last raced in AMA road racing with Jim Haberlin in AMA Superbike.
