I don’t have a lot about off-road in the Rider Files, but I am a huge fan of all types of off-road racing. It’s easily my personal favorite form of riding. One of my goals in life is to go to (hopefully cover) an ISDE event before I leave this earth.  Fortunately as biographer for the Motorcycle Hall of Fame from 1998 to 2008, I got to meet and interview many of the legends of the off-road racing world, including these two, the late great Dave Mungenast Sr. and John Penton. Filmmaker Todd Huffman (of The Motocross Files fame) is producing a movie about Penton, having recently secured financing thanks to the generous support of the motorcycling community via Kickstarter.com – Larry Lawrence
