Mid-Ohio’s Natural Amphitheater

This photo from the 1990 AMA Superbike race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course clearly shows the famous natural amphitheater setting of the circuit’s turn five. This is the iconic viewing section at Mid-Ohio putting fans about as close to the Superbikes as any vantage point in the series. I can’t ID every rider in this photo, but that’s Eric Moe leading the pack followed by Dr. Dave Kieffer then David Smith, Tommy Sloan, possibly Mike Karm and then William Beesch, Linnley Clarke and one other rider.
