Team Suzuki Sweden’s Anders Andersson (No. 626) attempts to go around the outside of Palmetto Kawasaki’s Kevin Blais during the 1987 Daytona 200 by Arai. Andersson was expected to be one of the contenders in that year’s race after finishing a strong fifth in the first Twin 50 qualifying race, but the Swede ran into problems during the 200 and was out after 34 laps. Miami’s Blais went on to finish 28th in the 80-rider field. Today Blais runs a performance shop in the Miami area.
