Nancy Delgado races, eyes closed, through the carousel at Indianapolis Raceway Park during a WERA race there in 1994. Of course the camera shutter just happened to be triggered when Nancy was blinking, but the photo gives the appearance that Nancy was riding around IRP with her eyes closed. Delgado emerged from club racing in the Northeast to enter the pro ranks in the Harley-Davidson 883 Series. She raced a variety of classes throughout her racing career. Always an excellent promoter of her racing, in 1997 Delgado appeared in a Playboy pictorial. The photos were beautifully done and Nancy looked lovely. I’m guessing more than a few new fans came to races after seeing the Playboy photos hoping to catch a glimpse of Nancy in person at the track.

I came up through the ranks with Nancy. From club racing in the NE(old Louden)in the 80s to racing Nationals in the 90s.We raced in the Harley Cup series 92. She was a top 10 National rider.That was a fun series,great stories. Nancy was a great girl and was like one of the boys, we had great times back then. .She went to 125s,Endurance ,what ever she could get a ride. She was a great rider. Last I hear she was a Chef in Atlanta.
