I’m not 100 percent sure, but I think this is Taylor Knapp as a toddler playing on a toy called the Rockin’ Racer during a WERA race weekend at Grattan Raceway sometime in the late 1980s. The Rockin’ Racer was the only road racing related toy I can remember from that era. If this is Taylor you can see that he was getting an early start in becoming a racer. I remember when Gary Gibson had these for sale at the races, and for what seemed like forever also advertised in Cycle News. Always thought these were a great little idea.

You are 100% correct. This is my nephew Taylor Knapp. Not long after this picture he was actually on the real thing. Local papers even covered the little guy doing what seemed impossible. He just seemed to small to be on a bike by himself.
