Reuben Frankenfield racing his Yamaha R1 Superbike at the 2005 AMA Superbike round at Barber Motorsports Park. Frankenfield won multiple sprint and endurance racing championships in WERA and FUSA. I remember him best for the incredible battles he had in the early 1990s in WERA North Central with Lanny Allen. I once saw a race between the two on 600s at Putnam Park that to this day was one of the most intense, hard-fought battles I ever witnessed. Frankenfield made just a handful of AMA Superbike appearances in the mid-2000s. His best result was a 20th at Road America in 2004. Today Frankenfield operates a performance shop called 35 Motorsports in Mooresville, Indiana. He also is an instructor in the Schwantz School.
