Ray Yoder (52) leads Scott Zampach (in black AGV helmet), Dave Schmidt (46) and others in the WERA A Superstock race at Grattan Raceway sometime in the late 1980s. Yoder went on to win the race. The notation on the back of the photo also says that it marked the first race back for Schmidt since a major crash at Rockingham. Schmidt was solid in his return to racing, taking third in this race behind Yoder and Zampach. Yoder may have been one of the most underrated riders of the late 1980s and early ‘90s. He won a slew of Suzuki-paying club races and was one of the best WERA and AMA/CCS Endurance racers of the period.
