Scott Russell leads Muzzy Kawasaki teammate Doug Chandler at the 1990 Mid-Ohio 750 Supersport final. Russell held off Chandler to win the race. Russell went on to win four of the nine 750 Supersport Nationals that season en route to winning the championship. Chandler also won four rounds and finished second in the standings. The only rider able to break the Kawasaki stranglehold on the class that year was Miguel Duhamel, who won the Road Atlanta round on a Suzuki. Russell went on to become the all-time wins leader in AMA 750 Supersport history with 23 wins.
