The Buell display at the Tokyo Motor Show included a black XB12S laying on its side with sign above it reading: We Are Buell. (Tracy Hagen photo)
Tracy Hagen filed an excellent report in Cycle News this week on the Tokyo Motor Show. His primary observation focused on the manufacturer’s environmental goal of reducing CO2 emissions. Hagen also reported that the dire worldwide economy drastically reduced the prestigious show saying it was half the size it has been in past years. Kawasaki didn’t even bother to attend nor did the European makers. Surprisingly this Hagen photo shows that Buell was at the show. As Hagen said in the Cycle News feature:
The Buell display included a black XB12S laying on its side with sign above it reading: We Are Buell. Though meant to display the bike’s unique under-belly exhaust, the display was rich with irony and captured the mood of the show.
