A friend sent me this link from a TV interview I did a couple of years ago before Mid-Ohio. I’d never seen it before. I was proud of this in one respect. I was asked to come in as a last-minute replacement guest. I quickly went to some photo archives and sent the show’s producer some old Mid-Ohio photos and typed up some talking points for the host on the history of the race. It came together pretty well. Oh yeah, the old joke goes “They say the camera adds 10 lbs. – so how many cameras were on you?” It’s also amazing to see how much Ben Spies has changed in a couple of years.
