Ricky Carmichael gets sandblasted by the roost of another rider on the famous deep sand of Southwick in 2004. Considered the toughest of all AMA Motocross Nationals, Southwick’s sandy surface makes for bike-swallowing ruts that wear down even the fittest of riders. The upside is that the track often produces surprise winners and podium finishers since it’s unlike any other outdoor national in the country.

Hey, I love this picture I’m totally using this for my speech on Ricky Carmichael!

Samantha,
RC was the hardest working rider I ever had the pleasure to watch race. You couldn’t pick a better person to do a speech about. Good luck and thanks for the compliment on the photo.
