Want to ride a Grand National bike on the street?

There was a very trick little streetbike on display at the Springfield Mile. It was the Grand National Replica 1st Edition. The company claims the bike (full of state-of-the-art components) weighs in at only 380 lbs.

This thing looked like a race-ready Harley-Davidson XR, but the machine actually features a Buell XB 1200cc motor. Just a few of the cool tidbits of the Grand National include:

1200 Buell XB Motor with 105 HP
4130-N TIG Welded Chrommoly
Single Shock Chassis
Custom Oil in Frame
Three-Way Adjustable Penske Shock
Three-Way Adjustable KYBR6 Forks
Handmade Aluminum Fuel Tank
Front and Rear Performance Machine Brakes
Performance Machine Handlebar Control
Aluminum Foot Pegs and Controls
19″ Performance Machine Racing Wheels
Custom Paint and Graphics
Supertrapp Exhaust
LED Taillight and Sealed Beam Headlight

Former Grand National racer Bill Hofmeister is the man behind the machine.

Naturally the beautiful machine attracted a lot of attention at Springfield.

If you want a street motorcycle that’s about as close to the bikes the Grand National riders race this one looks like a good candidate. The website is www.grandnationalreplica.com.
