Great shot of the opening lap of one of the motos at the AMA 125cc MX National at Red Bud in 1981. That’s Johnny O’Mara (40) out front on the Honda factory bike with Suzuki’s Mark Barnett (1) right there with him. Gary Denton (553) also with a great start coming around the outside. Richard Coon (24), Denny Bentley (83), rider #841, Jim Gibson (7), Donnie Cantaloupi (19), Phil Larson (44), rider #253 and Jeff Ward (12) were also among the front runners in this shot. Barnett won it with a (1-1) over O’Mara (2-2) and Gibson (3-3). (Tom Mueller photo)
