Houston’s Dan Conway (117) is right there in good company in what is likely a heat race at the 1981 Daytona Supercross, heading into a turn with Denny Bentley (83), Thomas Alesi (166), Keith Oelerich (713), Jim Gibson (7), Rick Burgett (18), defending Supercross champ Mike Bell (1), Mary Smith (11) and others. “Dynamite Dan” raced out of Houston, Texas and had some excellent top-10 pro finishes during his brief four-year pro career, most notably a 7th overall at the Red Bud National in 1983.
