Harry Klinzmann on the Krauser MKM1000 at Loudon (1984)

A beautiful high-speed panning shot of Harry Klinzmann hustling the very trick Krauser MKM1000 Battle of the Twins machine around Loudon in 1984. Harry finished runner-up that weekend to Dave Roper on the Team Obsolete Ducati. You could buy a MKM1000 for the street. They were rare and very expensive. If I recall they sold for somewhere in the $15,000 range in the early 1980s. That would be about 50K in today’s money. Obviously, Harry didn’t care about how much it cost. Look how hard he’s riding this thing! Beautiful machine and a great series, the BOTT, which brought out plenty of exotics. (Michael Pons photo)
