Marty Smith Earns Great Start at the Mid-Ohio 125cc Grand Prix (1976)

Marty Smith gets a great start on his works Honda at the Mid-Ohio 125cc USGP in July of 1976. Marty went on to score a 1-1 to earn the victory in the world championship event. It was a great day for American riders with Bob Hannah finishing second and Billy Grossi taking third. (Henny Ray Abrams photo)

    1. David, Looks like ’76 was he first year shooting in earnest. He was doing a lot of college sports at that point as well as flat track near Delaware. I did find one roll of black & white film from the ’72 Watkins Glen F1 race in Henny’s files.
