Mike Smith and Honda RC30 Superbike in the Late Afternoon Florida Sun (1993)

The bright yellow Camel livery combined with the late-afternoon Florida sun at Daytona made for a dramatic image of Mike Smith racing the factory Honda RC30 Superbike at Daytona International Speedway in March of 1993. Unfortunately for Mike, on race day he reportedly burnt the clutch of the bike at the start and only made it to the International Horseshoe. Mike went on to score three podiums in the championship that season. (Henny Ray Abrams photo)
