Randy Mamola with Epic Comeback Victory at Donington Park (1981)

A great shot of Randy Mamola racing in the John Player Gold Cup race in April of 1981 at Donington Park. It was a special international race that drew top GP stars along with British Series regulars. Mamola was involved in a first-turn pileup crash. The accident bent the exhaust on his Suzuki RG500, but Randy was quickly back on his bike and almost unbelievably worked his way up from dead last to win the race ahead of Graeme Crosby and Kenny Roberts!
