Factory Suzuki rider Larry Ward (7) and Mazda/Chaparral Yamaha’s Steve Lamson (24) battle through a turn at Anaheim I in 1999. Ward led the Supercross main for six laps, but then started experiencing arm pump and eventually fell all the way to 18th by the end of the race.
