Super rare photo alert. Mitch Friedman clicked a shot of defending Motocross World Champ Brad Lackey practicing on an ATK at the 1983 Carlsbad USGP. I don’t think Lackey did a lot of laps on the ATK before deciding to ride a Yamaha instead, so as it turns out this was a super cool moment to capture on film. In fact, do a Google image search and I don’t think you’ll find another color photo of Lackey on this machine – so very rare indeed. Thanks Mitch! — 📷 @mitcho399 —
