Michael Brandes and Craig Decker Battle at LACR (1997)

Michael Brandes (33) and Craig Decker (141) locked in a great tussle over the lead in 125 Pro action during a GFI Winter MX Series race at LACR in February of 1997. The duo had a great back and forth during the one 30-minute winner-take-all moto. Decker chased down and passed Brandes, but after studying Craig’s lines for a few laps, Michael passed back for the lead and gradually pulled away for the hard-fought victory. Decker came back and won the 250 Pro race. (Tony Alessi photo)
